Ajay’s Message: Why I become a Divya Yog Teacher and went to learn from Swami Ramdev Ji in Haridwar, India?
It is quite simple. Back then, if I had known about Divya Yog’s (Divine Yog) pranayam exercises as taught by Swami Ramdevji, then my niece Darpana would have been alive today to tell the story of her recovery. I am utterly convinced of this. Darpana succumbed to her disease in February 2004.
On the 15th August 2005 I heard Swamiji’s Indian independence day speech on Aastha satellite TV and I was moved by his many remarks on various subject issues. The very next day I had already booked to start attending the Chinmaya Mission’s 3 day lecture arranged in Wembley, London on Dhanyaashtakam – a series of 8 shlokas on how to become Dhanya (blessed), composed by the first Adiguru Shankaracharya (Hindu Shaivite sect). As the talk concluded at around 21.15pm on the evening of 18th August, which strangely but exactly corresponded with my birth date and time, I made a silent prayer to the Almighty to make me Dhanya (blessed) so that I could do something useful and be helpful towards others in my life. The very next day, I was glued to the TV set at 5am every morning. I started to religiously watch Swami Ramdevji’s daily early morning broadcast on Aastha TV and started practicing Yog Pranayams. For almost 2 solid months I watched his every action and heard his every word and at the end, I was convinced………..this was a path I had to tread! So, in an instant I packed my bags, booked my flight, and went to India in October 2005 to attend the second Yog Teachers 11 day residential Shivir (Camp) being held by Swamiji in Kankhal, Haridwar. This was an experience I will never forget and I am living that experience everyday. In accordance with Swamiji’s adesh (orders) I have been teaching Yog free to people every morning in my own house since the day I came back from India in October 2005. In August 2006, after Swamiji’s UK and visit, we commenced free public classes at the Hindu Temple in Slough.
And now, with God’s grace, I have an opportunity to share my experiences with you all and pray that all you good people of our varied communities, irrespective of cast, colour or creed, come forward and benefit from this universal knowledge of Ancient India. India’s contribution to this world has been in many spheres but it has always openly shared its divine scientific knowledge with the whole world for Hindu’s believe that this whole world is one big family. Yog was always meant for the benefit of all mankind, so that we could remain disease free mentally and physically. Yog is not a religion but a state of universal consciousness. It is a positive partner to your own religious beliefs. Yog aids in bringing higher consciousness (widening perspectives) in your life and is key to opening your heart to God (that Supreme Energy) within your own spirit.
I am sure that a positive mental attitude coupled with these amazing ancient breathing techniques, will allow us to self-cure ourselves and self-correct the various imbalances in the body. The medical evidence that it works, now exists. I hope you will find the same peace and tranquility that I do from the practice of this Yog. My only wish is that I could shout it out from the top of this world so that all can hear and benefit straightaway. I pray all will follow sooner rather than later so that we can prevent the unnecessary loss of precious lives. God bless us all. OM Namah Shivai.
